Off Campus Housing

The Off Campus Housing website makes searching for an apartment, townhouse, condo, or single family home easy. The Niner's Choice program gives you additional information about saftey and security of complexes. 

On Campus Housing

Housing for adult students is available on campus in Witherspoon Hall. Meal plans are required for some students living on campus but not all. UNC Charlotte does not have family housing. If you are thinking about living on campus, consider applying to a housing communitiyGlobal Gatewayslearning communities, and the Transfer Student Community provide enhanced academic experiences for students.


The housing application is available year round and opens as soon as students are admitted to the university. Students interested in living on campus for fall semester should submit their application by July 1st to guarantee placement. During the application process, you will need to identify your top six choices for housing types and if you'd like to be considered for nontraditional student housing or another community. Single rooms and apartment style housing are available in BelkElmMapleMartinMiltimorePineWallis, and Witherspoon. A few additional single rooms are available in Greek Village. You will need to pay a $200 deposit to complete the housing application. 


Housing contracts are issued annually. Rates are listed by semester. Students graduating in December can cancel spring contracts without penalty. No fall only contracts are issued. Spring and Summer only housing is available. Students must be enrolled in at least one credit hour to be eligible for housing. If a student was enrolled for spring and are pre-registered for fall semester, they are eligible to live on campus during the summer even if not enrolled in summer classes.


Housing and Residence Life strives to create an experience that connects residents to the UNC Charlotte community. Housing Tours are available year round as a part of the Daily Campus Tour offered through Admissions. Tours are also avilable during Explore
