Mission

The Office of Adult Students and Extended Services (OASES) is committed to assisting adult students develop and implement a plan for achieving their academic and career goals. OASES works collaboratively with academic units to provide advising, educational and social programming, honor society recognition, readmission services, scholarship opportunities, and the 49er Finish Program. In addition to internal relationships, OASES works closely with external organizations to promote the mission of OASES.

The OASES vision is to expand the educational experiences while increasing the retention and graduation rate of all undergraduate adult students at UNC Charlotte. OASES strives to cultivate diversity and inclusivity by providing a welcoming environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

The growth in the programs and services speaks to the strong commitment of the UNC Charlotte administration to support the needs of the adult student population on our campus. As a department within the Enrollment Management division, OASES assists with the enrollment goals of recruiting and retaining a diverse, adult student population.
