Carol A. Douglas Reentry Scholarship

The Carol A. Douglas Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Carol Ann Douglas, a generous benefactor and loyal supporter of the Office of Adult Students and Evening Services (OASES) at UNC Charlotte and the Friends of UNC Charlotte. Carol established this scholarship fund, modeled after the national Bernard Osher Reentry Scholarship program, to fund scholarships to reentry students served by the OASES. A believer in higher education, Carol generously supported adult learners returning to school to earn degrees while working. Carol was a patron of the university and a member of the Women Executives for Community Service of Charlotte. She mentored young female professionals and funded numerous, meaningful educational initiatives. Her commitment to life-long learning opportunities in the Charlotte region is evident in her generosity through the Carol A. Douglas Reentry Scholarship in OASES.
